Hot Foil Stamps, also known as Hot Foil Plates, are designed to render foil onto the surface of the paper or other materials. The images are slightly raised which then once it's heated up with the foil, with a bit of pressure, the foil will bonds to the surface, producing the metallic effect.
Hot Foil Stamps are so versatile as you can use them with foils as well as with your normal ink pads - to create a stamped image.
You can ink stamp the hot foil stamps using ink pads and run the platform of the GoPress & Foil machine through your die cutting machine, you will have a stamped image of the Hot Foil Stamp.
To stamping with hot foil stamps and GoPress machine, the platform needs to be cold. Ink pads that work well are Versa Colour and Distress Oxides. Do not use Memento or any permanent ink pads. Use a baby wipe to clean the hot foil stamps after use.
